Im after a new TV - Must be Sonos compatible 100%!!!My Samsung 65" is a great TV, but the sonos doesn't work with it properly - even bought an aftermarket logitec remote, but the pingpingpingping still fucks with my head.

Would like 65" or maybe 70" preferable with dual tuners as the wife watches and records multiple shit non stop so it will keep her quiet and me happy!!

Don't want to spend stupid money, but want a good tv.

Don't want 3d - cant see 3d cause of eye operation.

TV's

4K? Sonos? if Sonos doesn't work with Samsung there goes 90% of there market.

Gimmick isn't the right word, it is an inevitable evolution of the medium, and a good 4K TV looks fucking amazing, however; the jump isn't nearly as large as going from 480p to 1080p. Also, the issue of content is an important one as well. Currently, the only big source I know of is Netflix.

At the moment, I wouldn't buy one. Even though you'll find some 4K TVs marked at $400-500 USD (see Changhong on Newegg). Those are TVs that only support HDMI 1.2 - which means you'll only be able to get a 30hz refresh rate on 4K resolution, which means your image will only be half as 'smooth' as a bare bones 60hz 1080p image.

My personal suggestion is to wait over the course of 2015. More 4k content will come out, and your first party TV manufacturers who actually make HDMI 2.0 compliant TVs will drop their prices a fair bit. It is at that point, where HDMI 2.0 4K TVs get to a decent price that I recommend buying one, because they will become the standard, however; it certainly won't be over night. Considering many TV broadcasting companies will run in 1080i.

Ultra high definition television 3840 × 2160 1.78:1 (16:9) 8,294,400

DCI 4K (native resolution) 4096 × 2160 1.90:1 (19:10) 8,847,360

Notice how the 3840*2160 doesn't have 4K in the name?

Sonos - stand alone wifi speakers

Samsung remote wont allow you to adjust volume on all channels - comes up with message "set to use external speakers use remote supplies rara ra.

Get told to buy $$$ logitech remote to sort it all out - same issue

Dont want to always use a phone or tablet for this

pingpingpingping of a remote should do its job.

Mate has no such issue with his lg

Note: One Sonos product must be connected to your broadband router. If the PLAYBAR will not be located near your router, you can connect a Sonos BRIDGE or any Sonos player (purchased separately) to the router instead. The PLAYBAR is compatible with any television that has an optical digital audio output.

Then buy an LG! hahaha

Ummm not sure if serious.....
Been out for ages.

I'm surprised the Samsung doesn't control it, our 60" LED has bulk audio options, I ended up getting the Samsung Soundbar for my old TV, turned on the new TV, instantly connected without doing anything, fucking awesome.
