Driving on my way home from work today not driving any different from usual. Come up to a set of lights, change down a couple gears then shift to neutral n the revs go down heaps n almost stalls - hasnt done that since i had my old BOV on. Anyway, took off like normal n noticed it was a little slow n my BOV didnt go off. Turned down stereo to have a listen and there is just a whoosh noise when i accelerate but not like turbo spool, and its not hitting boost.
Checked all cooler hoses (still stock cooler) n they were fine, checked BOV n that seemed ok.
Anyone have any idea what is wrong with my car??? (CA18DET)
Cheers.

mmm...could be i guess, the car is idling like normal and it doesnt sound like its leaking but will have to check. Its the SSQV by the way.
I cant block the BOV off so Im gonna need a spare pipe... Does anyone have the pipe that is circled in the pic so i can see if it runs ok without BOV??

hey mate, the same thing happened to my mr2 the other day, i just replaced the vacuum hose from the bov to the manifold. it might be different 4u. whhat is the diff between your bov and a normal one say a blitz one?

Nah vac hose is all good.
Well, mines super! haha. (and sequential)... Well, this is a description of it:
The HKS Super Sequential Blowoff Valve (SSQV) is a dual stage pull type relief valve. Unlike other blow off valves that are push type, the SSQV will not leak under high boost conditions nor under vacuum at idle. Being of a pull type valve structure, the SSQV can not physically leak under any level of boost because boost pressure also keeps the valve closed against its seat. The SSQV is actuated by pressure alterations only, not by the rate of pressure or vacuum in the line, which ensures a quick valve response and complete closure during idle.
I narrowed the problem down to the BOV on the weekend. Took the vac hose off it and blocked it up. Was running fine like that. So took the BOV apart n had a look, played around a bit and put it back together n now its fine. Cant really say why it shat itself but yeah seems to be ok for now.
