was an extremely close call for the grey ute in front of me coming down the return road.

boost would be 29.3 psi as ecm is MAP pressure therefore you need to minus atmospheric pressure which is 14.7.

Was that off above an F6 with Roman numeral plates? Or the TOMCAT (?) XR6T? I'm guessing it was the F6 as TOMCAT was still in the 1000m runs and I know the other black B series XXXR6T didn't go off the track. Hope it isn't too serious whoever it was :(

I think that xr6 ran over oil from the GTR... hence they stopped and started clean up after this run?

pretty worrying that he made it that deep into the return rd really.... I bet both the sedan and ute drivers were abit shaken after that!

I didn't see the plates but i think it looked more like an F6 ?
Yeah hope there were no injuries, I believe it was driven back down the return road so hopefully the car wasn't damaged too badly either

it was the F6 with roman numeral plates MXCCCL or similar, had antilag stickers on it and i have seen it out at barbs a few times so hopefully he will chime in when he is good and ready to. Would be pretty devo about it no doubt! And would be subject to plenty of opinions from non competing experts!

Def not TOMCAT, Im pretty sure it was driven back to the pits.. hopefully just superficial.
If was me I would be pretty happy it was as minor as it was at that sort of speed.. regardless of peoples opinions that could of happened to anyone out there.

So the F6 that came off was me.

I was wondering if anyone had any video footage of the incident. I'm still not too sure what actually happened to be honest, it just happened so quick.
I have no idea how I did not roll, I was just waiting for it go on it's roof. We were very lucky indeed.

Car was still able to drive, barely enough to get it on the trailer. Unfortunately that was the end of my weekend
Damage wise, Intercooler has been pushed back into the radiator, which has then been pushed back into the engine. Radiator has been split, cooler pipes crushed.
Front bumper has been obliterated, rear bumper in same way. 3 tyres have been ripped off the rims.

Overall most of the damage is cosmetic, I pulled the front end apart yesterday and damage is not too bad. I'll be off the road for while though

It was one scary ride.

Also a big thanks to the Emergency responders, who were onsite extremely fast. Luckily they were not needed.

one of the highlights of the whole weekend for me was the motorkhana, that was a lot of fun. i managed 4th place which i was pretty happy with.
It was a shame there was no food or drink available at the track on the friday night, otherwise i would have stayed even longer. Here's one of my runs.

glad you are ok mate, i was also amazed that you didn't end up on your roof.
if you are actually wanting to see more footage, the guy you were racing (Black BMW 335, i think it was Alex Bong?) said he would have footage of you going off too as he had a gopro facing backwards. not sure if he's on here?
or if it's the opposite and you don't want to be reminded of the event, i can also take the video down, just let me know.

Never understood the stockish brakes on such a high powered car.
I saw eddies Parachute deploy on the way back on his 300+ run.....

No way i would trust a parachute in the country with that wind
His car was literately facing towards me on the return road when the chute went out....
He is very lucky the car flicked back straight again, otherwise he would of been off.

ITP, get some brakes next year!!!!

Watched Tassone's 1000m run and he uses one hand to steer the car too... ballsy pingpingpingpings... fuck trapping the 1000 with out two hands holding on for dear life!

Eddy actually asked us if he could run a co driver in the car for the 1000m runs so he could get the co driver to pull the chute allowing him to stay focused on peddling the thing. He made quite a compelling case for it but sadly one of the myriad of things we're not allowed to do is run 2 up during the 1000's so Eddy opted to park it and watch. Jose on the other hand seems to of been born without the ability to feel or comprehend fear and was totally cool driving a totally different 1300+ hp rocket ship to what he usually pedals on his own so took it for a run...
