2015 - Supercruise Dates [Archive]

Hi Everyone,

We've booked our Supercruise dates in Collie for 2015.

Can people please let me know if these conflict at all with major motorsport events in WA? I've checked every event / calendar I can think of, but I don't know if I've missed something obvious.

2015 dates:
Saturday Mar 28th
Saturday May 30th
Saturday Oct 24th

As mentioned previously, we think we've been able to reduce the costs for these events, which means we should be able to run them for ~$130 per driver :)

I know there was issues with the last one with guys taking it too seriously and trying too hard

Only 2 , Will and the Blown VE driver thought there was a sheep station up for grabs , I had to remind them there wasn't :P

So is it possible to have run groups based on lap times? Or is that too hard?
Very possible. We typically split it up into 2 lanes. One for beginners, one for experienced guys. We might make another lane for sub-52 second cars to make sure the fast guys don't get held up. Sound good?

That's true. They both stopped racing door-to-door after that and just went back to setting lap times!

I can run a low 47's easily and I don't want to be seen as hassling slower cars and I would also like to be able to do lap times that the car is capable of doing
It just sound like a couple of people needed to be reminded this isn't a professional time attack session.
At the last one I went to I had a passenger most of the time so definitely wasn't setting any records.

I am keen and free for all of them at this point :)

Simples.

Get a fire extinguisher fitted to car.
Pack helmet, long sleeves, carton of piss and jerry can.
Drive down to Bunbury, fill car and jerry can with bp98
Drive up to collie and rip laps all day (or until car breaks)
Sink piss at Gary's Sat night, make wild claims about lap times.
Drive back to Perth on Sunday considering your poor choices in life and vehicle ownership

Just a question, i am on the committee for the FRSC (Ford Rallye Sport Club) i have a meeting tonight, are other car clubs welcome to attend? most of the guys are older and are show and shine sort of people but there a few with nice cosworths and race/rally escorts that do some events around the place, ill be coming down anyway, hopefully Andrew will have his running by then.

I'm still waiting on Collie to confirm the dates. As soon as they come back and confirm I'll let everyone know. Dates will be:

March 7th or 14th (TBC)
May 30th
July 25th
Oct 24th

ROE could roll up and Brockas wouldn't care , cash is cash :)

At least they'd be on the track and not trying to kill people in a carpark!
