These guys seem pretty cool - they dont exterminate, just remove them.

Normal, bee jkeepers won't take on wild populations due to virus and diseases.

thanks simon. Do you know the best method to remove the hive once the bee's are dead? just bin it and burn the area with fire haha?

Call someone that will use them or get a hive and make honey.

How quick does a population like that move in??

With the current world shortage of bee's due to colony collapse, i'd be getting someone in that will smoke then, and remove the whole hive intact...

Paying to have them exterminated seems a waste...

Yeah, no need to exterminate them if you can get it removed for the same or less price. But I got no idea how much it costs just to get them removed.

i have a feeling the hive is inside the base, and i am guessing if you have to cut that open you will damage the hive?

Research the benefit of bee's in the world before you kill them.

A lot of bee keepers will get it for a small fee! Those ones will be easily removed. Please don't kill them. I love bees. My dad keeps them.

If they have only been there a short time they are probably just passing through. Give it a day or two and they will clear off to a more suitable spot.

I found this out as well, I had a decent sized but munted looking hive in my backyard. I didn't want to kill them all and thought someone would take it away but no one would take them. Ended up getting it sprayed, sweeping up a bucket of dead bees and tearing down the hive myself.

I had another one in my carport that I took care off by making myself a bee proof outfit and going at it with a whole can of fly spray. Was surprisingly effective.

I'm still liking the fire option, bees need to make honey or sting people on tv, not be anywhere near me!

Maybe just slow roast it so the tasty honeyhomb melts into a waiting pot with a strainer over it. Mmmmmmmm.
