Hi crew,

Just wondering what people have in terms of alarms.

Does anyone have one or just use the handlebar locks when parking up?

I had a disc lock with motion alarm, spewing I didn't have batteries in it when it was stolen from my front yard about 3 m from my bed. FML

Have suitable insurance cover.

Bikes often get lifted into trailers or vans no disc lock etc is gonna stop that.

Disc locks and front brake locks at least make it slightly harder.
Get a lock up shed or garage?

I mean no disrespect in saying this but a ninja 250 is hardly a desirable bike ie: Ducati, harley and other supersport. So if it was to be stolen it would most likely be by an opertunistic theif, always park with steering lock on and don't leave in any dodgy places for a long time.

Disc locks are ok but if you forget its there and ride off one day you will do a fuck load of damage to your bike.

I park mine all day in the city and haven't ever used a disc lock, if someone wants to steal a 250 they're going to pick it up with a mate and take it anyway. Have insurance - get payout - buy another one, they're cheap as it is anyway I hardly see it being a sought after bike.

Might be worth it for a bigger bike but I guess it depends where you park and how much mobility there is around it.

Saying that though, I have had someone take a bunch of my fairing screws whilst it's parked it would appear... pingpingpingpings.

Could also whack a chinese GPS tracker on there so you know where to collect your belongings from once they are stolen?
