View Full Version : Hfv6 manifold torque spec
Hey guys,
I'm changing the spark plugs on my bosses Rodeo and to do so I had to pull the intake manifold off. I've been trying to find something online that has the torque specs to no avail.
Does anyone know the specs or where to find them? I wish to avoid buying a service manual online if I can avoid it.
It's an 08 RA Rodeo.
Thanks

Just use the standard torque specs for the bolt/nut of that size/thread if you can't exact.
Will be plenty of info on the net if you google it.
Yeah I might have to.
Thanks man

And drop anywhere in the region of 20-50% if going into aluminium (threaded area size is main cheese factor)

for small bolts into ally i like to tighten them until they loosen off then back them off half a turn.
Thanks guys.
I ended up going 20nm. I don't have a thread pitch gauge so I just went shy of 1.25mm thread m8.
Also I was under the impression that you shouldn't ever back off a bolt/nut once it has been done up, unless you are removing it.

I think Luke forgot italics. Tightening till they are loose generally means they are snapped or stripped haha.
