View Full Version : Help with catching vandals
Hi guys
I have just had some dickhead driving up and down my street knocking peoples bins over. Not a huge problem but its a bit annoying having to go a pick up all the rubbish and peoples bins with huge cracks in them.
The guys were driving a Toyota Hilux ute with steel tray with number plate 1CKI 242.
If anyone knows this dickhead can you please let me know :)

Sitting here on the couch with the lappy and happen to click on this thread innocently enough, Unbeknown to me the mrs had awoken from her pre work snooze and had a full view of the lappy screen '' Wait.. Wait! What the fuck was that? Go back go back.'' Just spent the last 5 minutes explaining how this place works when members request help with these matters.

I have but nothing will happen.
I usually wouldn't care to much about it but it seemed like a targetted "attack". He firstly hit 4 bins at a business located at the end of the street. I ran outside to see what had happened but he has already driven off. Then what i didnt realise at the time was he has driven past again and must of seen me and the neighbour outside talking. We both went inside and about 5 mins later he had taken out our bins. So I went back outside and told all the neighbours to go back in and I just waited. The dumbass drove back again and took out more bins! This time I was waiting and I got the number and scared them off.
Our street is mainly made up of old people and familes and they were shitting themselves because all they could hear was this massive bang everytime he hit the bins will his bullbar.
He has also split all the bins he has hit in the street which is annoying! As we all need new bins now.

.................................... As we all need new bins now.here's a fair trade... you need new bins... so before you get them,, get your old ones and FILL them with concrete....here's hoping he comes down the road again, he will need a bit more than a new car. If he doesnt come then repeat.. as the trucks wont be able to pick the bins up anyway...

Ive seen said concrete trick done before, up at cape trib when I was a young whipper snapper. Serial offender was bashing over 44gal drums through some roadworks. After few times, this bloke got the shits and filled the last one with concrete. Next morning there was a ute with a very bent up bull bar and busted up front end. pingpingpingping was well satisfied. You should do it.

even if you just fill one up with water (one which isn't split yet obviously) and hope he drives through that one. Surely that would be heavy enough to do some damage, and at least you will be able to tip it over to empty it. I dunno how the fuck you'd dispose of the bins when they are full of concrete afterwards?

paint it or some shit and turn it into a lawn ornament/letterbox?
concrete isn't cheap... Better off filling with bricks/pavers?
What has Ross been up to?

First fill it with clean sand then with water. That'll ruin the vandals night.

Do it at the house closest to a storm water drain so the mess is easy to dispose of :P

I would also play naive and put some big fluorescent markings maybe an X painted on it making them think, you think it was accidentally hit last time. If they come back no way in the world will they be able to resist the temptation of a big fuckin glowing target.
Post pics of outcome :)

There's a few recyclers around Perth that will take clean concrete for free.. I'd say they'd take a bin full for free if you told them the story

Had one of these given to me some years back after a mate ditched a can out of my ute as I was oblivious. $200 on the spot.
"Littering that creates a public risk." looks worthy at $500
Dob the pingpingpingping in for one of these, then send his details where ever else they should go
