G'day
I'v got an 08 Mazda BT50 3.0 TD and I am looking at putting a chip in it for some more power.
Has anyone looked at the chips on eBay? are they any good or is it definitely worth spending the money for something else?
Cheers

Someone i know paid 130$ for an eBay 'chip' for a 2013 ford ranger.
Claimed 30kw and 105 nm increase.
actual increase - 0
Buyer beware as with anything on eBay

I spent $1200 odd on a Chip It module for my Colorado, claimed to be the ducks nuts.
Made a huge difference in power until it cooked the injector module in the ECU.
managed to get it fixed under warranty through Holden and sent the chip back for warranty also. Then the company went into voluntary receivership and didnt honour the warranty and now I am $1200 poorer and have a Chip It wiring harness which is good for fuck all.
If you want it to be fast, sell it and buy a petrol. Don't waste ya money on cheap power ups

Have used this mob for my first M5. Service was pretty dam good. Car had to be remotely logged in.
They mailed the dme interface to their authorised dealer.
All booked and the car shut down. Wouldn't start because the interface licence agreement was expired.
Local dealer called them (after hours) and they remote logged into cars ecu. Pulled up data agreement file, called Italy (who owned the software) and paid by credit card there and then to renew licence (almost 2k).
Car started accepting new data files.
From a service point very impressed.

Have a chat to Ecuwest. I looked into chips etc for my ranger and it seemed an ECU remap was more beneficial, safer and cheaper than all these chips on the market. I went with a remap and its been awesome so far.
