but it can be overcome to an extent.....essentially donk.. COMPLETE drivtrain.. suspension.. brakes.. weld up all the seams on the front.. end strut bar...hang on

ive been in 1 of there v8 monsters which they set up to their way...550 hp uncorected...720nm torque...breaks traction at 150km when cruising and just pushes like a bitch all the to 295km...granted it doesnt pull like a turbs but it just does not let up from o to 250/260 it just pulls so friggen hard..its not the hp but the torque in this car which is amazing

more importantly its streetable has good power low down and top end unlike monster godzillas that need to be driven 1 gear higher and have limited rev range in terms of where powa is found...where is all the power...in a 2 to 3k revv range?????????? thats not street friendly really but dont get me wrong i luv the gtr's...........healthy debate is good

yeh even if u got 1000hp under the hood, getting the power to the ground is always going to be a problem, on the street anyways..while the GTR is reving high it is still gaining traction with AWD while the V8 is in the high revs breaking traction..

i drive a 5 speed mild 304ci Stato so im only really a fan of turbos strapped onto V8s such as Eddy Tassones VH Twin Turbo monster

right gearbox diff setup and prudent use of the left and right foot can overcome some of the probs...both have good points and bad points..its all about pesronal preferance

ive grown up with muscle cars and drive a tex with a bpd....its fun with the boost coming on strong but i miss the howl of a worked 8 setup sweetly...bit rough bit wild and the type of car that needs to be driven well...i like and appreciate the best of both worlds.....my next car will be an 8 most likely...perhaps an ol charger if i can find one with some of my mechanics special serving of mods with sauce on the side...they are doin thier best to convince me to go v8

i dont think young ed's commodore would qaulify for street use...dont think it would last a days drive for that maatter but hell does he push some figures

Actually my rev range is from 4000-9000 which is a 5000 rpm rev range with 608rwhp which im thinking is more then a cammed up v8 (i could be wrong).

dont know whether its actually aired or not yet.. but did anyone see the ad for (or the story) on a todaytonightspec show about "hoons" with "complete disregard for other road users" speeding through the tunnel ?

THe guy on there is the head of the road safety council.. they show him a clip of a car going thru tunnel at "140kmh" which he says shows "a complete disregard for other road users" and its "completely and utterly stupid".. despite the fact that the car is the only one visible in the footage.. prolly 3am or something and the guy is doing a solo tunnel run yet is endangering the lives of innocent members of the public?

Most people can work it out for themselves if they REALLY want to know how much it costs.

only reason i asked was becuase i was interested in how much money it cost to biuld a 10 sec GTR, well at the end of the day if uve spent 20k on your car and ive only put 5 k into my car, yours is going to be faster and if its not..then its all show and no go

yes its true my "whale" as many of you refer to it can actually go round corners as well.. i have spend a lot of time and good money getting her to go around cars on the outside of a 2 lane round about... but nothing beats the look on the face of a bikie as you keep up with him around corners...

"needs to comply with U.S.R"
"front and rear bumpers need to be secure to U.S.R"
and probably the funiest thing you'll ever get stickerd for
"sticker to be removed from rear window so as to not obstruct vision"

went over the pits today and the only thing they actually agreed on was the rear bumper...
