Thats pretty cool if legit, be hard to get caught too as they look normal to the naked eye.

Don't the camera's take pictures using a few different light spectrums? meaning things like this don't work. or is that just something I dreamt about?

Pretty sure they're just printing on reflective paper?
Means the light bounced by the characters is the same as the plate itself, creating very little contrast and making the shapes indefinite.

lol, facebook.... pretty sure people may find there is a big difference between a 'fruitphone'camera and a 50K plus camera/radar device.//// also that is taking straight on as well, and all radar/laser camera's are taken at an angle meaning the contrast of the raised shape of the letters in greater even in low light.

would be hilarious if it did work though with the latest law changes you would have to be going through cameras flat out to warrant ROI / risk ...

I think the speed cameras are going to take pictures that can be tweaked to show those numbers.. I remember a friend had one of those protectors which meant your plate was unreadable from an angle. The fines kept rolling in. I assume it would be the same with this..

Anyone who says those covers (I assume you're talking about the Altrex branded ones you get from shops which are legal) prevent the plate from being read is taking BS. The last fine I got, my plate was clearer than the other cars in the picture...maybe because my plate was clean and not faded, or...

I was working for a company back in 1998-1999 who did networking for the police, had to go into several police buildings including the traffic headquaters building and got to see operators working with speeding fine camera photos. This would have been back when they were using film I'd imagine, and even back then the clarity when they zoomed in was amazing and if something was hard to read they just flicked through a few modes and the letters became easily visible. Now I'd imagine some 15 years later technology has increased dramatically and I'd say having black reflective letters over a white reflective background wouldn't be enough to make your plate unreadable. A phone flash versus a speed camera flash are completely different, and not every colour reflects light 100% the same so I definitely wouldn't trust something like that. Just take your plates off completely if you wanna speed :P

Better off designing a remote-controlled retractable rego plate cover, IMO.
