Off for a weekend away at a farm with the wife and kids this weekend. They take the kids around on a tractor to feed the animals etc. Little fella is going to absolutely love it and nothing makes me happy like seeing that little guy enjoying life.

Actually Sunday but felt good picking up my repainted brakes from Mike/XF Falcon and cleaning all the little fittings etc then fitting it all back to the car! Looked pretty shitty before with peeling clear coat on the 8 year old brakes (just 4 pot fronts and PBR rears from an F6). The bolts/pins etc were all covered in oxidisation and crap, took fucking ages to clean up.

Finally emptied the contents of the garage out of the Z33 after moving house. Even gave it a quick wash (aimed a Karcher in it's general direction) to rid the outside of the nice red Racewars dirt. The took it for a run to the gym. Reminded me how much I love the car....

Which sucks as I had just about decided to sell it to fund the purchase of an Evo so I can play Targa & Street Cars up at Barbs.

how do you transfer your music from itunes to google play? just changed over a couple of monthd ago myself and have yet to figure out how to bring music over from iphone to samsung...

If your music is on your computer all you need to do is download Google Music Manager and let it run. It uploads 20,000 songs to Google's servers for free, then it's just a matter of going to play.google.com/music to listen. It streams from the servers, so having intermittent or limited internet bandwidth would be a problem. On the mobile devices and can choose songs/playlists/albums to store on the device so you're not streaming all the time.

T500 is an awesome reflux. What grain are you using to make your mash? I'm a brewer foremost and mainly make spirits with a distiller mate (making cuts is too tedious for me). I often make him wort/washes from grain. My favorite combo is Golden promise with 10% rye malt. The spirit has a smooth honey taste with a bit of peppery spice as it hits the gullet.

Yeah, we have a reflux and also a pot still head on a second t500 boiler.

First two mashes are a basic corn and sugar for the sour mash and a molasses and sugar rum.
Decide to keep it basic to start, but when we get a handle on it we are going to venture into more complex grain mashes.

THIS!

may not be anything special to those used to being on two/one wheel but my experience on bikes was limited to some china 80cc bikes and early last year jumping in and getting a 1989 GSXR750. I found that a hell of a lot of fun, but the bike was challenging, also never being sure of whether something was wrong or it was just a characteristic of a dinosaur I kinda let go of the bike idea for a while. Then this came along, 2010 Ninja Zx6r, 9000km's on the bike, basic mods.

Holy..fucking..shit. jumping on this after the gsxr was almost as bigger shock to the system as first getting on a road bike, 750 or not. One year on I swear I had almost forgotten what bikes where like. But this thing is so fucking easy to ride, so light, so easy. Did I mention easy?. And pretty quick too, and when I say pretty quick I mean I still havnt taken it past about 12k, 6 more to go then.

THIS!

may not be anything special to those used to being on two/one wheel but my experience on bikes was limited to some china 80cc bikes and early last year jumping in and getting a 1989 GSXR750.

And pretty quick too, and when I say pretty quick I mean I still havnt taken it past about 12k, 6 more to go then.

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j152/jhoskisson/_20_zpsead6763b.jpg

Do the following.
Get license
get rid of piece of shit 2bros muffler
get license if your going to continue riding
put a stock rear fender on while you are unlicensed, that thing is cop bait and given the west australian cover they will be cracking down.
GET YOUR FUCKING LICENSE BEFORE YOU KILL YOURSELF

Upgrade without telling users is the word

I just laugh at people who still use them though, get what you pay for!

exactly.. which is why I still use them. I pay for a service most of the time I can make calls at a reasonable rate. When I leave the metro area on a weekend away I don't get bothered by calls or have the distraction of internet (cause I have no service), I don't get bills I cant pay (because I am pre-paid). I don't have some consultant telling me I need a phone (that I don't need) because they want me to go on another 24 month contract (that I also don't need) . So laugh away...

I laugh everytime one of my friends who is on contract with the big T, goes over their allowance and gets a big bill and gets told to 'suck it and pay ' or we'll cut you off. but hey we will give you a credit in the following months after we have finish "pegging" you.........

...aaahh Vodafone you let me down again but you didn't promise me you wouldn't!

Was on a plan they don't do any more which was $59, $550-odd worth of calls, 1.5g data & unlimited text. The plans they have now are way more expensive, to keep the same amount of data I'm now on a plan that will cost me $70 I think it was, $17p/m for the phone & $13p/m for insurance/stay connected or whatever it's called. I was out of contract so was only paying $59 a month, now I'll be paying $100 for pretty much the same shit. Probably should have done my homework on it lol

Staying up for an eBay auction for something I have been trying to get for ages, increase my highest bid just before the other high bidder equalled my highest bid. So I technically won the auction by 3 seconds. Fucking car parts!

I also did what I was doing at the age of 12. It involved a bit more of a clean up though..

Cash bonus for the day was a pleasant start to the weekend. I fucking love cash.

Due to my own stupidity/haste i didnt measure the crank journals or inside the big end to make sure they were both within spec before reassembling my bikes engine. I had a look neither looked damaged and bike had only been ridden about 10km with a knock so assembled the motor again. Just as i was about to put the sump on thought i'd check big end, FUCK still got movement in number 2. At this stage it could either be a fucked crank or connecting rod. Cracked the shits and went inside.

This morning pulled motor down again and measured crank and all still orginal size fuck yeah thats saves me $700us for a new one. Checked conrod and it had flogged out 2/1000th. replacement conrod from wreckers $70. small hicup and now have to order a headgasket but hopefully will have bike back on the road in a couple weeks!!!

A day of 4x4ing out at harvey today, haven't had a proper run like that in ages, was great fun, the big girl did so much better than i thought it would, definitely held it's own i'm happy to say and apart from an installation error on my winch causing me to lose power to literally everything in the vehicle it all went well.
Bush Mechanics got the car going again and i get to visit the place of installation tomorrow and tell them how fucking useless they are.
All in all a great day out!
Big thanks to Mike for the invite.

Shore dive next week, probably going to chill until it warms up as it would be in the low teens

saw them yesterday, they were very apologetic and ordered the part in from nissan, went in today and they sorted it all out for me, they were pretty good about it to be honest, you don't really want that sort of shit to start with but they sorted it no questions asked which is good.
I should have a lift in by this time next month, if we sell the Stagea i might be able to divert funds for tyres... otherwise they'll be a little way off, off road tyres in 18s aren't cheap and the only aftermarket wheels i can find to suit are in the US atm.
Thinking of giving the Summit Mud hogs a go, bloody cheap and they make them in the size i need.
