Hi guys

I am looking for parts stores for motorbikes, in particular for my shitbox Hyosung. Need service parts and parts for repair.
I am aware of <cite class="_Hd">www.hyosungparts (http://www.<strong>hyosungparts</strong>)online.com.a</cite>u and www.hyosungsource.com (http://www.hyosungsource.com). Looking for more over the counter sales, Like Repco.

always does a good deal and tries to match internet prices where he can.

I got a DID gold ring chain and 2 brand new sprockets supply and fit for around 360.

Always looks after me whenever I go in there.

Peeps - need to do a service on the bike, probably just oil and filter - Kawasaki 250R.

So is Rated R the place to go or does SupaCheap/Repco/AutoPro have the oil/filters required? Hard to do yourself? Do most people take it to a shop instead? Anything NOR or in Vic Park that's recommended if that is the case?

Figured keep it in a similar thread rather than start a new one.

Rated R tends to sell blingy and aftermarket bits.
For oil Golden Western Lubricants in Maddington they are a wholesaler and will charge you about $8 a litre for bike oil compared to $50-60 for 4ltrs in bike shops. I run their Elf oil in my R1 and so do a few mates for a while now with no issue.
Oil filter can be picked up from Kawasaki direct, Motorcycle Masters, Tyres For Bikes or Total Bike Accessories.

Very easy to do yourself, remove lower fairing, remove filter, remove sump bolt drain oil. Make sure you sit the bike up vertical when you refill the oil so you can see how much is in there, obviously with bike on the stand the oil runs away from the viewing window and shows no oil.

As above. I use 300V but any good synth will do just get the right oil as stated in manual. And don't use car oil. Bike oils have are slightly different due to needing to also lube the clutch and gearbox.

A lot of guys use Penrite HPR Gas has some additives in it for LPG engines but also will suit a bike wet clutch

Manual just says SAE 10W-40

Type API SE, SF or SG
MA, MA1 or MA2
API SH, SJ or SL with JASO

So I might just take this into the local AutoPro or whatever and they should be able to pick out the right one I guess. I'm NOR so no keen to travel a half hour just for the sake of oil and filter. Only about 1.6L so not too bad. Tyres for Bikes isn't too far though so may drop it off there.

Autopro will try sell you Penrite Supersynth as thats what the Penrite book states for all bikes, i didnt like it found it very notchy and burned up quick. Total Motorcycle Accessories is down the south end of Vic Park opposite maccas they will have everything you need in stock.

I'm guessing you're talking about Penrite Racing 10W-40. The main difference between standard motor and motorcycle motor oils is regarding the friction modifier additives. basically most car oils have friction modifiers to increase the lube properties of the oil, problem being when you run a clutch in the same oil it results in clutch slip. HPR Gas and HPR5 diesel don't have friction modifiers, so some guys run them in bikes with no issues.
I've run the penrite racing before, and though it was fine I agree that it can increase the notchiness of the gearbox ect. It's not ideal.
Penrite do a dedicated bike oil range now that is much much better. I run the full syn 15W50 in my Husaberg as a gear oil and it's been good, better than the Motorex that they run factory. 2.5 litres will set you back about $40 and they sell it at Repco and probably Auto1.
On paper (manufacturer datasheet ect) it was the same as Motul 300V for half the price.

Motul 5100 10W-40 semi synthetic is the go.. any bike shop should sell it. I wouldnt bother with any car oils at all, no matter what they reackon..

^^ Myself and a few others I ride with found the 5100 to be extremely thin so much so that there was a very noticeable increase in engine and clutch noise. For the price you pay ~$60 for 4ltrs I really don't think its worth it, I dumped it out of a fresh engine after 300km and it was really thinned out and dirty. Wouldnt waste my money on it.

I switched to it from the Shell Advance that the dealers/workshops were using - No problems/noise issues with my ZX12 which has 65000km on the clock..
