OK as my car now sucks regardless of what setup I use at the strip (Street tyres, semi's,my old faithful A539's,low boost, high boost) I cant seem to break the slow ass 13 second barrier into the 12's where my car so rightly belongs :D.
So the only solution is a set of full slicks,so who do I go through to get them, whats the average price, and whats your preferred brand?

Mickey Thompson are the best! haha (in my personal experiance)
depends on what size rim/tyre can you fit on your car?

have a gander here for an idea:

or you could try a set of American Racers ... as a cheaper alternate

wa race car tyres in Mcintyre st maddington sell them , you can get a treaded 13" or a treaded 15" that work VERY well

i think his name is nevil , i cant find a ph. number for him, but i always used to just go in there.

If you want to stay 'street' class, then make sure you choose the correct tyre.

We have been using the BFG Drag Radial on the white 180 when it was in the stable and this weekend Nick 'Dcieve' will be using them. They are reasonably priced, but not the cheapest, and they also come in a range of sizes that suit the sport compact cars.

Good enough to break boxes and clutches..........

Just getting prices for them now,not alot more expensive than my R comps.

Shed consists of Spare box,Spare Clutches and spare driveshafts. No way we thought of doing up a car and not having the parts spare to fix what usually breaks.

try bayswater tyres, i've had a set or 2 from there before. also has some half used second handies usually that are perfect for drags. the compound on slicks/r comps doesn't usually start loosing stick until they're almost down to the rags. something to think about. i had a set of second handies last me 3 full track days at barbagallo (read, 200km track driving)

i'd also recommend looking for MrBlonde's drag racing 101 thread before forking out $1k or more for a new full set of slicks. might be able to take the thenths off through that first.

Considering it did a 13.3 with 40hp less, theres lots wrong with it,and that was my old single pegger diff too.

Yeah may try that, the handbrake didnt want to play last time I did a burnout.
