Returning Custom Number Plates

What costs are involved in returning custom plates and replacing with the standard WA plates? Anyone know?

I tried the website but that doesn't mention the cost of normal plates. And I'm assuming you just take your plates back in and get the new ones.

Any info would be appreciated.

They put them in storage for you. If you ever want to get them back out I think it costs you a standard plate fee and a storage fee of about 17 bucks or something..

Thanks for the info. I was worried the cost to get new state plates would be extortionate but $26 I can handle.

You can also ask them to store your original state plates to save you $9 next time you want to put state plates back on. Eg if you buy a new car and put custom plates on ask them to store the original ones so when you sell the car it's got the plates it was first registered with
