Well Sports Compact is now over.

I personally think Antilag did an awesome job. We ended up with over 15 cars competing in various events.

All in All i think people took home around 12 trophies for the camp.

We had a great little area setup with shade and the drinks flowing all day long. It was a great social day for Antilag.

I'd like to personally thank and recognise the following people.

Mayhem - Drinks/eskies/shade/tyres - HUGE effort
Badger - Shade
TJ - Banner / stickers
Bobbo - Stickers
Rb20zed - banners / display
Danny - Stickers

Also a thank you to those that displayed and entered there car.

We will have further post's / photo's going up soon. Giving info on trophy winners and the like.

Please lets not discuss the event itself in this thread, this is just for the people of Antilag to pat themselves on the back ... hehe :)

Also well done to Team Integrated for winning best club. We know how much work it was for us so it was at least as hard for them.

Well done to the entire crew lets bring on Autosalon and Drag combat.

Good Setup, but unfortuanatly another poor turnout lets all get behind it next time round guys otherwise we are not goin to have another event like this one!
The day showed that ur cars dont have to be really fast with 14sec cars being the norm and they didnt even have to be clean (enimie) lol but lets all get behind this and support the import scene. REMEMBER THERES NO USE CRYIN BOUT NOT HAVIN EVENTS FOR IMPORTS, THERE IS WE JUST HAVE TO GET BEHIND THEM!!!
id like to thank everyone that was involved ect and especially butters and mayhem for there huge help!!!

It has nothing to do with the import enthusiast like you guys, the event sucks due to poor organisation and lack of advertising. The Motorplex had a 2nd chance and they blew it.

I think all of the anti-lag guys did a great job, and well done to you all, but I can't see much future in the event unless the Motorplex learns how to promote it properly. You can't really blame clubs like SilWA for not turning up, after last years fiasco, and this year was just as bad:(

Bring on Drag Combat, at least CABIN are promoting that event, with flyers being handed out at all Motorplex events.

Wow, you must have asked about 4 people then.

It doesn't matter how many of us in the Import scene know about it, it's the fact that none of the general public are there. What's the point of the event if there is no-one to show the cars to?

Thats a very good point

we may know of it, but does the average Joe and the non import community know?

Thats a pointless comment..... Everyone in the clubs I'm involved with knew about the event.... and what if the Mplex people did spend $$$$ advertising the event and 20000 spectators turned up.... do you think they would have got their monies worth from the piss poor number of cars that turned up?? They would have burnt the place down.....

Its the entrants that make an event.... not the number of people that come to watch.

Antilag.com at least did their bit and for that you guys can be proud.

As i stated in my First post. This thread is not about the event. Just the Antilag participation.

I thought we had the best turnout. Not sure how team intergrated won TOP club, when there cars didn't seem to move all day, i never saw their banner, and none of their cars did real well in the drag racing? (unless that champagne silvia with the white stockies on the back was theirs) Oh well, there was an absence of the SuperCruise this time i noticed, and they even canned the final ALL CLASS drag runs. Not sure if there will be another one with event organisation like this ( and the commentary, well, no comment )

Lord_Muck from what i understand top club was based on show and shine, not how much collective hp/wikid drag times etc etc
most of the Ti boyz were too drunk/stoned to drive that day anyway.
before u wanna slag back, Ti isnt a dedicated performance club so u cant expect us to wanna jump up and go hard on the track.

as for the banner, we had one hanging off the marquee all day.
and that champagne silvia with white stockies wasnt part of Ti man. even if it runs 10s it will never be part of Ti.

Honda boy is correct it was based on the clubs display.

The TI display was much better then ours.

I think the mis-understanding is that Peter Pike told us prior to the event that the top club would be based on number of cars and how well they do in each event. Not soley on display.

Oh well rules change.

Well done to TI :)

wow drunks and stoners just the kind of people we want at these events. Hopefully they were in these states off the premises and not at the event.

Congrats on the win for Ti eitherway.
