Without a doubt, probably the most terrifying natural disaster to strike urban area.
Floods, tropical storms, and even earthquakes claim more victims, but fuck..this..shit.

Give it a couple of weeks before some deranged dick gets the idea from the NSW fires, and the hills are alight again.
I partly blame the media. Whilst they're "doing their duty to inform people of the danger", the reason people light fires is to see the ramifications from their actions.
We don't broadcast nudie runs at sporting events anymore - along with hefty fines, bet there's been a massive reduction in people attempting cheap notoriety.

There were no bushfires, performanceforums.com was down all week so our brothers in the east were doing burnouts

Cops have caught a couple of 8 year olds trying to light fires in Maitland, NSW as well with all this going on.

Started getting more call outs already but all small fires. Probably be late November before everything dries up and big fires become more of a threat.
We were out bush Tuesday night for training and there is a heap of low level plants that look nice and green at the moment but will turn into fuel real quick when they dry up.
Hopefully nothing as bad as the NSW fires in Perth.

What's the repercussions for lighting a fire?

Fuckers should be shot in public as a warning to other idiots thinking that lighting fires is a good idea.
Disgusting behaviour.
i was a vollie up north for a few years, was interesting thats for sure.

There's so much dry bush in Australia yet fires only start populated areas, sadly it looks like fires are started by firebugs.

we saw the fires as we were flying into Sydney the other day, looked extremely bad from the air. Seems to be happening every year over there though?
watched that vid in the first post. It amazes me how fucking stupid people can be, wandering around and not just GTFO when they can. Forcing firey's and police to risk their own lives getting these dumb fucks out to safety..

Lived there 20 years, just a part of life. Every decade or so there's a big fire.
