Thinking about going to the TT next year, been looking at flights etc. TT aside, what else is good to do over there? ive been london before, but not Ireland. anyone traveled there can lend a hand as to whats good whats not and where to stay?

I've not been to Ireland or Scotland but spent 3 weeks traveling England during the this year. (Manged to see the Grand Prix) Spent most of my time in Stratford-upon-Avon. Fantastic place to stay scenic wise. There's also Stonehenge, York etc...

go earlier than the TT and you can catch a few more of the road races like the Ulster GP. They make the IOMTT look like a kids race.

Yes, Ulster GP. Same riders, 10 times the madness.
Buy a cheap 5-7yr old sports bike (cheap as chips in uk) and ride the TT circuit prior to the race (they close the roads so you can go balls out). Just try not to die.
All of which I intend to do in the near future.

Mad Sunday, more deaths on this day than any other day on the island. Speaking to blokes who have gone its usually the pissed europeans that get on their bikes forget what side of the road their supposed to be on and go hooking about the track crashing into ppl.
