Cinavia has pretty much made my PS3 useless as a media player

What other cheap media players are people using that have a LAN port or use wifi

I've got Serviio and PS3MS, both trigger the protection when playing anything bluray related (MKV's etc)

Nah its a few years old now, picky with codecs and LAN is more useful to me as i've got a NAS with movies/tv shows

Jailbroken Apple TV with XBMC running the show is a decent solution for minimal outlay, just need to get an ATV2 or older as the ATV3s haven't been successfully jailbroken yet.

On the cheaper side look at Raspberry PI (model B 512MB) with XBMC (raspbmc).
Just picked one up with 4GB SD card+WiFi dongle+ case for $70, going to have a play this week.
