Currently running a HP entertainment laptop from like 2009 been a good laptop but has had a few decent drops in its time and is on its last legs with crashing all the time with NVIDIA issues what ever the fuck that means...

Anyways looking to replace it with something similar it's a 17/18" screen, what's around that's similar but not crack pipe price wise?

Not interested in desktops, don't have the room in my apartment to set up one or motivation to get of the couch to use one.

Just use eBay and buy the cheapest one you can find.

At the end of the day the only use you have for a computer is the Internet, and porn. You don't need a supercomputer.

Dont have any knowledge about the Dell specifically. But we have HP Envy 17inch laptops with i5 processors and other gear at my shop. Come see me at Harvey Norman Malaga. Happy to give mates rates.

Set your budget and pick your specs.

I'd only look at i5 and above with SSD's. Then go on staticice.com.au search the model number and put state:wa at the end ... ie .... np53408df7gxwser state:wa

I personally steer clear of HP.

Just bought this a month or two ago (also work at Harveys) - I don't know if you require something with all this gear in it, but I use it for CAD/Design software. I ended up paying ~$1600 and put it on GE.

Building your own would be an option too!

I've had 2 generations of the Asus ROG series laptops now.. brilliant (but heavy)... Get one a year old (G74 I think, or G75) loaded with SSD drives..
