One for the Civil/Structural Engineers on here... book details.

Any of you guys come across this book?

Reason I'm asking is I found the "International Edition" of it:

Only thing is I don't actually know what the difference is between the two. Just asking in case you guys have come across it during your studies or in practice and have an idea. I'm looking to grab it for use in my thesis, at the moment I have borrowed a copy of the US edition (I presume) from the Library at Curtin, however they don't have the international edition.

If it's just the cover then perfect, any issue is good, but if there is something specific I'd be interested in knowing.

No experience with this book but international edition books usually have SI units instead of AES and don't include any digital/extra content. International edition will usually be cheaper.


Looking into those 2 books pretty sure the different cover can be attributed to both editions being published by different companies I highly doubt the content is different.

In fact both those links are for international editions??

Yeah that's why I was wondering what the go was, if the cover was the only difference. The number of pages seems identical.

You're right, both say international edition, the second says "international edition of the 6th revised international edition" so I was just a tad stumped, I was hoping someone in their office may have this piece of literature and may know.

I'll email the people at Pearson's and go from there anyway. :)

Both US & International Editions are the same - for anyone looking to buy this themselves at some point. Lowest I found the International for is $55 on eBay.

The SI Unit edition, seems only the 4th edition comes in this form from what I found.

PDFs of the 6th edition are available online though, found a link myself for chapters in separate PDFs and cplagz found the complete book in one PDF.
