G'day All,

Anyone here have hook ups or contacts for Pre Purchase Inspections? Had an offer accepted on a place and want to get this done for peace of mind.
Heard some horror stories of the poor quality of some so I would rather send my money to a contact here or a well reputed company.

Thanks

that was normal for the guy i used & that schedule looks very familiar.

ive used him twice in the last 3 yrs - he's a degree qualified structural engineer & gets in the roof space & produces a good report.

you can get much cheaper ones done, but they are not engineers.

I allways have lots of questions & this guy is very knowledgeable & happy to give all kinds of adivce on improvements etc.

i just went with the basic inspection last time as its a rental.

yeah, he's good. he found a big wasp nest inside the roof space of my built in 1955 house, so he's not shy to get in amongst it lol.

of course the report has many 'out clauses', due to lack of underfloor access etc, but they will all have shit like that.

make a list of questions to get the most out of him at the time.

how old is the place?

Used Housepect. Picked up quite a few things, reports sent straight away usually within a day of inspection. Can reccommend.

I used to work for Resicert Property Inspections. Around $550 to get a Full structural, electrical, plumbing, fixtures and appliances. sample report here - http://resicert.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Resicert-Sample-Report-March-2013.pdf
