I’m sure that there was another thread about this and tried the search function so sorry if it’s a repost but I’m looking for a good dash and rear cam especially one with motion for when the car is parked in case a twat backs into my car when its parked.
I have been thinking about it for a while now and had some idiot cut me off so hard on Tonkin that he just about clipped me and the amount of people trying to get out of crap because they can’t take responsibility for their own actions . It’s only going to get worse with more and more people on our roads and more that can’t drive so the time has come.
Any help is much appreciated!
Look out pingpingpingpings im getting a camera on my car expect WW3, comets, aliens, god himself to rain down on us all loll

BlackVue cameras. That is dash only however. Unless you get two separate ones and route a 12v source to the rear. Great quality, maps your journeys with Google maps, giving you speed and GPS along with longitude and latitude position.

Yep, they continue to write over files that aren't "marked". Files will be "marked" if you hit the skids hard or there's a significant change in g-force (hard take-off, booting it into a corner, etc). These will be marked as "events". I have to manually clear my card weekly because my stereo system/sub constantly creates "event" files.

I use this. Is just single front camera tho, however motion sensor is another good form of security

I never got too far with my hunt due to uni thesis taking over. I had a PM from a member who said he'd be bringing some in with front/rear cam and motion sensor etc. Hopefully he'll post if he's interested in selling some.
If anyone is keen on a group buy I know myself and 2 others that'd be interested pending the camera choice. I got cut off by some hipsters in an old orange volvo the other day and when I honked them I got told to fuck off and 4 sets of fingers. Would love to record my bull bar going through them after they cut me off again and not get the blame for rear ending someone

I paid $300 for mine. Here's a fuckhead taxi driver I encountered a few months back:

If anyone is keen on a group buy.
Would be interested, possibly in up to 3-4 sets.
Particularly if it has all the whizbang features; front, rear, motion sensor/parking mode etc.

for those interested...choice had this to say about dash cam in a review done June 2013
We don’t fully recommend any of the tested models, but the Navig[8]r Crash Cam Pro and Blackvue DR500GW-HD are worth considering. Each has an acceptable combination of angle of view and picture quality in daylight, is OK for ease of use and has useful features such as built-in GPS.
