Tony Roma's.
Or you could try Jamie's Italian, with its artificially inflated waiting times.

We rocked up there after it had been open for 2 weeks, and was told to make a booking for September. I laughed and went to the Belgium beer cafe down the road.
We rocked up there at 8pm, no line, about 12 people waiting at the bar for a table.. And was told it would be 3 hours before we could sit down. This would have been 11pm. I don't even think they're open at that time!

Laneway Lounge. It's a pretty swanky little joint, good selection of spirits etc.

How central are we talking? I highly suggest The Royal on the waterfront in East Perth.

The Royal is fantastic.
There is a restaurant 30m away from Tony Roma's, chinese one I think, probably has dragon in the name as I've forgotten. When we were told to wait at Tony Roma's and thought there was no way we would last an hour and a half, we went to the chinese one. Not your typical suburban high in fat friend shit - was actually a surprise at how great the food, service, drinks and presentation were.
The duck there and how they serve it is fantastic.

If you haven't been to the casino for a couple of years it has been transformed. There are some great restaurants there now. Rockpool, nobu, modo mio and silks has just opened. All will be open on a sunday.

Tried out Midori in Northbridge on the weekend (where Valentino's used to be, opposite NB plaza/Air/Mint) and it was actually pretty decent. It's not in the CBD but I'd recommend the Teppanyaki for a bit of fun and some damn tasty food. Teppanyaki will cost you from about $65pp to $120 or something for the full on fancy shit. Worth a visit though, the managers seemed pretty friendly and flexible.
The place has only been open a couple of months, so mention that you've got a bunch of mates that are really keen to try teppanyaki and they'll be falling over you to give great service.
