Looking at heading to japan in late December to mid January. Wanting to see the Auto salon and hopefully a D1 event. Just wondering what people recommend to do in japan from personal experience and places to stay. Any real information would be helpful as the only Japanese i know is yes,no and drink.

I highly recommend purchasing a Drift missile and spending two weeks drifting at Ebisu. This can all be arranged through Powervehicles.

Did look in previous threads now and didn't find the information i was after. Looking for a high detail black ink tattoo artist to get some work done. Had someone recommend studio muscat or if you could book En at Genko&En. Anyone had work done in japan that could give me as heads up

ive had just over 80hrs worth of work done by tomo at yellow blaze. his work aswell as shiges is unreal although they dont really do just black, its full colour. EN is good i prefer his designs over genko's but genko is alot more skilled, his studio is in nagoya.

oh also i hope you have deep pockets, genko charges around $8-9k for a full sleeve

if you are a tall white guy, odds are you will do pretty well- short, not so much

don't get me wrong, its not as if they will treat you like unicorns and rainbows are shooting out of your pants- but you will be entertained

I'm 6'3" and was received fairly well. Had a mrs when I went though so didn't have a crack. Got called Captain America by a group of them. Feelsgoodman. They do like Aussies, but hooking in with them is a completely different story. My two mates had no issue getting girls attention, and chatting to them (if they spoke a bit of English) but no luck slipping inside any of them. They are a bit more respectable and know that aussie dudes are all just keen to bone ha. Watching Jap dudes tune a chick is interesting though, they are a lot more aggressive. Just force the chick basically, which ties in with most of their "normal" porn.

stay the fuck away from -

Nigerians,

Brazilians,

Dark skinned people (that are not Japanese),

and Asian people claiming to be Japanese (ie: they come up to and assume, in my case because I'm asian apparently, that you can speak it).....then you should be safe.

It's the best place ever....don't expect it to be like Thailand in regards to the women, because it fucking isn't, majority of them do not give a shit if you're a white or not.

The people are friendly, everybody (most of the time) will be polite...but this doesn't mean they're a good person or k2b.
Japanese are strange though and when given the chance to try out their English....they're good to go!

The Hub is a fairly mainstream joint for Japanese english speakers also ;) (along with the most ANNOYING of British/Italian/French people!)

Middle of winter . . . cold as fuck
Not cherry blossom season . . . so it will be an urban jungle
Sumi masen . . . means excuse me (it really does) or get the fuck out of my way i'm a 6" white tourist
D1GP . . . doesn't start till April and not even any exhibition rounds
Motorsport . . . check here for dates http://www.autosportcalendar.com/calendar-by-country.php?code=JPN
What do you specifically want to know?
