Gentleman and pingpingpingpings

Last night my car was struck by a flying ute canopy while sitting in the car park at work, due to the Warnbro shopping centre being the pinnacle of all things shitty the CCTV that covers the car park I park in doesn't work, leaving me without any idea who should be paying for the damage.

Long story short the canopy has a serial number on it and appears to be a factory Ford unit. I was wondering if anyone on here knows if that serial number is able to be tracked back to the vehicle that it belongs to ? Further more anyone on here work for Ford and can actually do that ? Yes I asking you to commit fraud and give me details that are customer sensitive incase you were wondering.

Many thanks and fuck you all that have a ute with a hard top, I blame everyone of you for my misfortune.

Used to work for Ford, no the serial won't be registered with the car. Unless it was like a Super Pursuit canopy, they have the build number on them IIRC.

sell canopy on gumtree
1) make some money back
2) owner makes contact with you because that is their canopy you are selling - you then have a name to seek damages from.
