If you're going to be using the hoist a lot id probably spend a bit more and buy a decent brand one, but if you're just going to use it occasionally should be fine. As for the concrete AFAIK it has to be 150mm thick reinforced.

8blows/300 compaction on PPT.
slab 100mm thick
N32 concrete with sl62 central
1000x1000 thickening around hoist column locations with additional sl62 50mm btm cover
200m edge thickening at entrance
make 20mm deep saw cuts into the slab 24hrs after pouring (2 cuts, 4 bits) this will control cracking.
(if you cant figure out how to perform 2 cuts to get 4 bits draw a picture)

Are you just chucking in the hoist or also wanting to wire it up for a workshop type set up for a welder and stuff?
find out how many amps your hoist is and whether its single or 3 phase
so i'm building a 10m by 10m shed in the next few months (4m high)
its 90m from power/meter box any sparkys can fill me in on what size cable would be needed ?
?
A 3 Phase 16mm cable will handle 25A per phase at a distance of 103M if buried. This is with a maximum volt -drop of 2.5%
If you jump up to 25mm you'll be able to pull 40A per phase over the same distance
All depends on the maximum demand that the shed will ever have..
