You mean he googled the problems and the internet diagnosed it.
Followed up by an RAC inspection

Clearly spent enough time around engines.....

I read it yesterday, I feel sorry for the bloke, Unless he knew about cars, which he clearly doesn't and REVS won't tell him shit, it's an easy thing to do.
If he gets his car back, it won't be registerable.
