Got some Tein Super Street coilovers in my wrx and wondering if they can be modified to go lower ? like fit lower springs or something ?
they are the oz version (suited for our roads, heaps less harsh than the jap version)
any ideas or am I best off buying custom coils ???

nup not yet....they are set at the moment at 100mm road clearance. and that leaves only 20mm of thread left for lowering. wont be too bad but wouldnt mind going lower.
why they go lower than that ?

probably..
but are u able to modify coilovers like that ? fit shorter springs or something ? go allow more thread to play with ?

Yes. King Springs etc...and most other major spring manufacturers produce springs for coilovers etc.

rear tyres are inline with the guards
front guards are roughly 15-20mm above the top of the front tyre.
this is at lowest setting. wouldnt mind going lower.

in regards to Tein Flex, how does the full lenght adjustment work ???
how do u adjust the height with out winding the thread down ?

you cant adjust the height without winding the thread down.. thats whats its there for...

yeah I know but with Flex, cant you adjust the lower part of the strut wich bolts onto the stub axle ? i heard you can leave the spring preload as it comes out the box and adjust the lower part (stub axle) ?

dude if u really wanna go lower, take the helper springs out, if its still not low enough, take the springs out, have them compressed a couple of inches, then slap the helpers back in, but chop the bumpstops in half, that will get you there
