long story short, the guy in the photos either stole, knows who stole or found my friends iphone and has made no effort to hand it in. instead the idiot has started using it, taking photos etc without realising that the photos are backed up online automatically allowing the phones rightful owner to save copies of them. Thanks to the clear photo of the Rego I am sure they can go to the police and wait months for them to "look into it" or if they are able to track down who this guy is and where he lives they can just go round to his house and ask nicely for the phone back :)

TJ, I dont have details on how the phone ended up where it is, or how this guy ended up in numerous photos taken with the phone. What I do know is he did try to upload one of the photos to facebook but failed to log out of the existing account so his photo was uploaded on the wall of the person who's phone it was. Not long after he must have realised and uploaded the same photo to his wall. I will leave it up to the police to work out the rest of the details.

had my place broken into when i was at tristans last bbq blast, cops arrived 20-30m after i got home (fuck knows when the neighbour rang it in), stopped past 2 days later to let me know they have charged 2 guys for 12 other burgularies in mt pleasant from that night.

a) shed got broken into, police and forensics come in, blames me for keeping my place dusty (seriously? a shed needs to be lab clean?)
b) after that, i decided to rake the sand around the same shed, found a suspect in the yard to be staying a few doors down (managed to trace footprints from my yard to the right of way behind the property leading into the offender's house, it was all sand so i could backtrack), stalked said suspect for a few days, and gave the information to police. they failed to act, citing that they need to see the offender in action.

neighbour's experience (lives opposite me)
he has his tile cutter stolen, was told who stole it by witness and where it was to be found. again, police said, we do not act on tip offs and to claim it on insurance. neighbour was also warned not to take the law into his own hands.

maybe its just my bad luck? or real incompetence by wapol? i dont know.

They contacted the club. No police report so the piece of shit won't get charged. Apparantly theyve had problems with this guy before and he is no longer playing for the. He returned the phone although they had already bought a new phone. Bag, contents, cash etc was not returned so they are out of pocket over a $1000. Pretty shit result if you ask me and certainly not the way I would of dealt with it but its their stuff and their decision.
