Wasn't really sure where to put this thread, but anyways..

Im starting to toss up between getting my car resprayed or vinyl wrapped in matte black and wanted to see if someone felt like being a bit generous and doing a quick photoshop for me.

Also, from a quick search it seems like GT graphics would be the way to if i do go down the vinyl path, but has anyone done it before and how does the vinyl go handling stone chips/sun exposure? Would my paint underneath still be fine if i did want to remove the vinyl at a later stage?

Anyway heres the car,

I dont have a pic with the bonnet down on this computer, shouldn,t matter though?

On a classic car like that? No offense, but that would be a disgrace to vinyl wrap such a nice car. Do it justice mate, give it a re-spray..........

Have a talk to Gav. He'll be able to answer any questions you have. Part of me feels like matt black will take away from the look of the car and could make it look tacky.

That thing looks awesome like that!
Get OCDetailing to give it a fresh polish or something, keep it looking Cypress Hill. Love it

it looks good from that distance, but get up close and the paint is pretty much farked. Yeah i wasnt sure how tacky vinyl would look, ill probably end up going for a respray, just gotta keep saving i guess.

Its pretty much going to be between gloss black, matte black or a slightly darker shade of purple.

decisions decisions lol

I don't see a problem in a wrap, if its a decent job and the current paint is average - atleast in a few years when you get sick of matte black it will be easy to remove, and shouldn't overly damage the original paint

Quick, terrible mockup as I was curious about the change too. Squint your eyes.
Seems a shame to go matte - car has a lot of character right now.

yeah wasn't planning to go too much darker. I'm still pretty torn about what to do with the car at the moment. so much to do, so little money!

Matte finishes make a new car (which is supposed to be shiny) look customised, and sometimes works well.

Shiny finishes make an old car (which is supposed to be matte) look pristine, and always works well.

Don't do it!

matte black will just make it look like a POS in my opinion, Purple looks awesome.
