Here's a few of mine. The best run was the sunday morning just after the drivers briefing: Weather was cooler, light tailwind, engine was cool, didn't miss any gears. See the video. It is the 800m run with the evo. My speedo showed 260km/hr just before I jumped on the brakes and almost crashed into the blue R33.

Its why i very rarely mash throttle on first gear, just spins 4 and over revs....pop is rev limiter even tho its fuel cut then ign cut(you wanna hear the thing with ign cut first...), datalog show 9600rpm over rev on that run(limter set to 8900) .

12 months to bolt on a g power kit :D

I'm pretty keen for the G Power kit. There is a company in Victoria that has done a few Supercharged E60 M5. As he said " there is nothing more simple than forced induction for that car to gain massive power in excess of 100 at the wheels". They do ESS chargers. I spoke to them about 1 year ago and said I will contact them again to get feed back. If all goes good... 12k is a good investment for that car and that kinda power. 20 hours for the bolt on kit, 12 hours if you are experienced with the motor.

I've done enough reading to be happy to do mine and I have bought the software to do most BMW's up to 2008. In saying that there isn't much you can to to tune these. The computer runs maximum ignition advance and fuel at all times under load and the car can't ping. It senses the timing for the spark to occur between the electrodes and another sensor detects the spark. If the spark journey hasn't occurred for the fuel squirt it retards the timing before the detonation occurs.

Does my head in the things they have thought off.

Lol yeah the hands steady again :) the undercarriage is fine fixed the ps steering line straight away but my rotors have wicked hot spots! I didn't go in quick maybe 10-20ks, fighting the locking was fun tho :P
I figured either I go in straight and slow or locking sideways into the barrier. I opted for the later :D

Glad to hear all is ok. You did look a bit shaken up.

I do like you car, particular with that V8. Anyidea why the brakes couldn't cope? I thought you had GTR brakes on that? Wasn't this thing light? Get the brakes up to speed for next year :)

Yeah the weight is half the problem, trying to brake without locking was pretty hard. I found the 800-900 area really bumpy which unsettled the car. Squeezing/pumping the pedal is where I possibly lost ground. I didn't enter the run off area quick, I just new the limit and opted for the run off. Breaking a PS line and spewin smoke everywhere was more entertaining.
All sorted qfm pads and new slotted rotors, perhaps a proportioning valve down the track.
