Slightly related topic - I got several SMS's from someone wanting to buy my car withing 2 minutes of advertising it on Gumtree. The sms told me to email him directly, as he was at work and could not talk. A quick google search revealed this;

I have had a guy texting me about my car for the last few days. Claims he is over east and wants to buy it, however he is too busy to come view it. Conveniently he has an 'associate' over in Perth who can view the car for him. And before anyone had even viewed it, he was 'arranging' freight over to Victoria.

Fuck, they make it seem so legit, I mean, if you reverse search the number you get a heap of local directory hits of a business which includes the guys alias name in it. I thought it was legit for a few messages but it became obvious it was all an act, I just been playing along since wednesday, they keep replying too :D
