Im looking at doing something after work thats not the gym, over the attitude of the people that go there and the mentality of the staff as well. Was looking at doing something thats good for fitness but also something good to learn. I've done BJJ and Kenpo Karate before and I was wondering what others have done if they would like to share thier experiences. Maybe good places to go, even join a class they are doing ect.
Cheers,

I'm boxing at The MMA Clinic in Willeton after work. Really fun and friendly atmosphere. They also do Muay Thai, BJJ, MMA and sparring. Really enjoying the boxing classes so far and I've heard from friends that do the MMA classes that they are great fun also.

used to do Muay Thai @ Phon’s Gym in Northbridge – Highly Recommend it
will make you piss, particularly in summer so a good time to go during winter so you get used to it and work into the summer as seriously the training in phons sweatbox in 40 degree heat is fucking bullshit
I gave it in when I started working FIFO, now that I have 4 months in Perth, might pop down for a session or 2.
expecting to get made piss if i do head down.

I used to work with the guy that runs this joint: http://www.facebook.com/AdvancedMartialArts.Fitness
Always wanted to start but don't have the time myself. Would have been keen on Muay Thai.
This stuff is pretty expensive though isn't it?

Was doing Iaido and Jodo at Perth Martial Arts Academy until recently, might continue at the Budokan Academy. Used to do Tae Kwon Do, but a whiplash injury has ruled out full contact martial arts for the foreseeable future. Tried Kobudo at UWA for a while, but struggled to keep up with poor stamina and stuffed wrist getting in the way, though might get back into it at some point.
