Interesting!!

I wonder how long it will take someone to either kill the inventor, or buy their silence..

Although its only in its infancy, I'm sure within 5-10 years we will see something more substantial. It's really just capturing and recycling wasted energy thats emitted as electromagnetic radiation.

Didnt Nikola Tesla say this was possible 70 years ago?

Isn't this what Tesla had theorised and was trying to achieve?

Can't imagine ExxonMobil group, the biggest company in the world netting over $40 billion a year from fossil fuel based energy would be too happy with an invention like that.

Valid comment is valid:

This headline is incredibly misleading and innaccurate. He's not getting electricty from THIN AIR, he's getting it from power sources that already have electricy which was created by standard means - coal, nukes, solar, whatever. It's like saying he invented a car that runs on water...if you just add gasoline. Ludicrous.

Yeah leant this in year 11 physics (but have since forgotten the details). Something about switching (ac) currents creating an electromagnetic field around the wire, which can then be tapped to create a switching (ac) current in another wire. Similar to how transformers work I think? Someone will correct my numerous errors hopefully

Hence why I said that it's basically recycling wasted energy :-)

Physically though, it is literally pulling electricity from the air.

Wasn't disputing what you said, just observing the same.

tech has been around for a very long time and is simply not very efficient at gathering "free" energy

Yeh it's all based on the law of conservation of energy. Super old theory, think the tech has been around to do it for a while, pretty sure you could buy kits off the net where you run out 50m of wire and could pull 1 volt at 1 mA or something equally idiotic.

The issue is it's no where near efficient enough to be viable for anything really. Wind/tidal trumps it 1000 fold in terms of 'free' energy.

Remember though, there is no such this as free energy, energy can not be created nor destroyed.

The big breakthrough the world needs is super effiecient and durable solar panels, that's when the oil companys can start to worry.

If anyones interested in energy related conspircie theorys, listen to Dr Steven Greer. On his last podcast with Joe Rogan he claims US scientists have had major breakthroughs in energy tech but have been shut down by the goverment.
