Not 100% but have heard they only go for one test, after a year automatically upgraded to a full license.

When I did mine it was 2 tests. 1 to get your learners and you can do the p licence 3 months later.12 months after you've don't the p plate test you could ride anything. Not sure if it's still the same as that was 7 years ago.

When you asked me this I wasn't sure because VicRoads automatically upgraded our licences to open when we moved from WA.

Have asked and apparently its as above, complete learners - keep that for 3 months, then a second test to get your restricted licence, keep that for 12 months and then move onto your opens. I'm sure there was something about completing rider ed training too but can't confirm. It could just be something about reducing your insurance by doing that.

On the other side, maybe try a similar thing to what we did but in reverse. Acquire learners here then change licence to a WA one and see if you get moved over automatically? lol.

Seeing as you cant even spell "bike license" i suggest you don't get one, let alone try to find a way to scam the system.

TBH i dont understand why people are so caught up on the whole just got license need to have litre bike bullshit. All that ends up happening is you become a straight line hero and when these people do come on country rides or any rides with corners they just end up pissing people off because they can't keep a flowing pace.

Much easier in vic. You can get an open class license without riding outside of a training centre. ( read car park). Retarded in my view.

oh the system has already been beat :) this is just a bonus... as i cant go back to a WA D/L have no real desire for a Litre bike not really into them TBH and likely would struggle to not meet a messy end on anything :) looking at as more cheap speed and cheap work hack 15kms to n fro each day with out having to fuck with traffic.

Seeing as you cant even spell "bike license"
Ps: Neither can you.
Karl can correct me if I'm wrong, but pretty sure it's Licence in Australian (British) English.

Didn't you buy an R1 as soon as you got your open class?

Yes, but i have 10 years of dirt riding and 3 years on my RE before i evetually went for my R class. So when i did jump on the r1 i was able to ride it at a reasonable pace and hold corner speed. I was lookin for a 600 originally but the R1 came up at a price to good to pass up.

Have actually gone down to a 600 now and its way more fun to ride and just so light and nimble.
