Two blokes were staking out my street today, gathering information, not sure if pictures or writing stuff down, but they were heard saying "did you get it" followed by "yep" quite loud. Two of my three cars were at home.

Sitting out the front of mine for 20 seconds, moving on to the next, rinse repeat

I wasn't home, Mrs saw it and if anyone knows of a white car, maybe a lancer, with the plates 'NIK 095' (there may have been another character), then let them know my dog is hungry and is welcoming you to come back.

Mind you the police may have already had that discussion with them, as the cops were seen with a white car (by mother inlaw as she was coming over) about 45mins later just down the road... Either way I'm keen to find out more

Police can't really do anything about people driving around, suspicious or not, unless they can prove with hard evidence that they have a reason to suspect they're committing, or planning a crime.

They'll usually stop them, licence check and breathalyse, search the vehicle and occupants, check for any recent run-ins and any dodgy associates.

Then if there are any crime reports the next day the car and occupants are documented as being in the area. Detectives will usually follow this up if they feel it's necessary.

People don't call in suspicious vehicles enough. Probably the same people who complain that cops don't do enough.
