Anyone know where I can get hold of copper flat bar? Not sure if they come precut or cut to order? I am after 500Lx100W in 5mm thickness to use as an earth bar.

When I was looking for copper busbars, Sims Metal in Welshpool had shitloads and were by far the cheapest

Interloy, atlas steel, bohler and sandvik. Try them if u have no luck probly hard to get a hold of in flat bar

I have metres and metres of it at work but I doubt I could make a piece that large disappear.

I use them as a supplier for comms building equipment. They manufacture earth bar kits to various specifications.

A full kit including insulators and mounts + Lugs:

ENX0050 – LUG CABLE-16SQ / 2 x 7mm Hole
ENX0052 - LUG CABLE-35SQ / 2 x 7mm Hole
ENX0027 – Earth Bar
ENX0013 – Earth Bar Standoff
ENX0006 – Earth Bar Isolators

LOL! They're our subcontractor, I am sourcing an earth bar for one of the 12m CERs I have here that they've built. Was just after something local that I could get hold of before the end of the week.

Thanks guys, have contacted most places and they only sell longer lenghts (ie. 3-4m). Have found a mob that can do a custom job, just waiting on pricing.

Simsmetal would be your best bet , more than likely have off cuts of some sort in the copper bin.

ARC switchboards, Price Trandos switchboards. I use to get custom bus bars made all the time.
