Basically i've bought almost all the gear i need to get a dual battery setup installed in the d40, piranha dbe180s kit, mounting tray (to chassis under the drivers side) with an in cab monitor and a 10inch yellowtop battery.
want a couple of plugs installed into the tray as well.
been quoted between 600-1200 to get it installed in Karratha, and a quote of $350 from opposite lock in Wangara, unfortunately i'd go to OL but they're closed while i'm in perth.
i arrive in perth at around lunchtime on the 23rd Dec and leave on the 27th.
I realise it's a damn long shot over the xmas period but anyone able to or know of anyone that could do a similar price to OL and fit me in at those times?

Rob @ Volatile (Antilag Trader/Sponsor) would be your best bet.

Alternatively, my old work (12 Volt Shop in Welshpool) can do it but might be more pricey than OL and they sometimes get pissy about installing dual battery systems that aren't the brand they make.

Spotted this on Facebook Trav, and saw the 2nd labour quote you got.

As an indication, I wouldn't fit one of those chassis rail trays on a D40 for that money in my own time. They are an absolute prick to do!!!
Probably not much point me posting as I can't help you with your issue, but that was a bloody cheap quote.

I found a place in karratha for around 400 bucks, booked in for Saturday morning, South I've done pretty much everything on my old forby myself but not too keen to fuck around with wiring on a new car.
