Hey guys, I haven't worked on these much at all in my time as a spanner monkey, any of you 4WD fellas come across any in your time and see major issues ? Found one with a space cab, got 350k on the clock, no leaks apart from the steering box, had a clutch all new shocks and bushes throughout, looks very tidy for it's age, just needs a lift for some clearance, but I'm just not sure about that Izusu motor

They seriously fucking drink fuel for a 4pot but there pretty reliable and trouble free donk, always crack exhaust manifolds but headers are cheap and will fix that. Seen a few with cracked heads etc but mainly the lpg converted ones. They get pretty good gains from advancing the timing a few degrees, Run 12 standard start to ping at 15ish

Yeah the only one I had ever worked on shat the head gasket haha, but it was a really easy job considering. All GM/Izusu headers crack eventually. When you say they seriously drink the fuel, how much are we talking ?

Lol i could nearly do that trip in the GTR on a single tank, running E85.
Pending what year it is same issues with fuel FUCKING PIG ON FUEL! one we had was petrol and would use a tank of fuel from mandurah to perth/freo warf and back.
