paint questions

Might be about to go pick up a delica this week, the on lying issue (apart from the fuel pump) seems to be the clearcoat has all but disappeared on the bonnet and some of the roof. The car is black so it's looking pretty shit house, almost white in the middle of the bonnet.


My question is, is there anyway to get it looking presentable or will it need a proper respray on the effected areas..


And for bonus points, anyone know where I can get a fuel pump for a none ridiculous amount of cash??

Wrap the bonnet & roof in ebay shit if you just need it 'presentable' & externally mount an 044 on it.

There is no "easy way" to fix it paint wise. Paint is fuct panels need to be stripped right back to remove all the contaminated paint. Wrap it in vinyl.

Delicas have a tiny bonnet - you seemed to have decent luck/skill with a spray can.
Sand back old bonnet, spray it (colour matched paint is $20-$30) clear it and buff it up.

As for roof - would probably as mentioned look into vinyl or just leave it as is - stupid things are so high that it would hardly be noticeable.
