At the moment they have put a hold on all recruitment and any jobs that are needed to be filled have to be signed off by the project manager.

Some of the Chinese offerings were "interesting to say the least. Having a BBQ every night at the wetty was alright, it meant you never had to go to the mess for dinner (and not have to worry about changing after work to get in to the mess) When the new mess extension opens shortly (if it hasn't already) the plan was for a takeaway shop to be installed there so you could get pizza's, fish & chips ect every night if you wanted to. All things considered it wasn't a bad camp BLAAA, you just chose to spend all your time with the gym junkies lifting shit rather then being social and coming to the wetty.

I work for Liebherr, We are up here at the moment for a shutdown on one of Downers R9800 Excavators, supposed to be for 2 weeks but its now looking like it will be 3 weeks. :( Staying at the Kartama camp as well.

Following that Im supposed to head over to Christmas Creek 2 to help build a R996 for Macmahons. (if we fnnish current job in time.)

nights at the moment, been watching the progress in the yard from you guys setting up for that demob, i was told its coming in for repairs ? didn't realize its a shutdown , and that 996 looks like a decent sized rig as well, ive been over to see it a few times at the build pad, im just stumped why they would shut down a 9800 to run something else ? , it only took three buckets to fill the 4400 i was in , and twice as many buckets in the smaller diggers ?

Yeah this morning at the end of my shift was the first time I had seen that setup, been hiding down in the pit the last few nights since tuesday trying to get the thing back up and running.
and yeah you are correct, she has come in for repairs (fairly major ones) as you will see. :P might see ya arround since we'll be at the main workshop from now on.

Ngarda, Just loitering around the workshop checking on the guys doing a midlife on one of our 785s. They won't even let us jack up a truck there but now they are going to jack up the 9800. Will be funny as fuck if it cracks all the concrete, as long as no one gets hurt that is.

Yeah I was back over on field service side tonight changing a pump on 9400. will be back in main workshop tonight I believe. What's ya name and I'll wander over for a chat.
