Hey guys just wondering from your excperiences weather it's worth changing the radiator on my GTS-t I am currently doing a build on it (approximately 400-450rwhp when it's finished) and just wonder weather it's worth changing the radiator to a dual core or even a triple core? All I know about the one currently on it is it's a calosonic (which I am gathering is stock.)

Put a decent oil cooler on it first, this will take a good chuck of heat out of the system and stress of the radiator/cooling system.
I'd only upgrade the radiator if this is falling short ie. track days etc

I got a replacement for my r33 that was twice the thickness than the stocko one. Its still normal looking / plastic tanks etc etc but it solved all the problems I was having and it was less than $400 from the local radiator mob.

the biggest plastic tank one is 25mm thick, some are 16mm, how thick is your current one?? Otherwise its straight to a full ally one, koyo is the pick of the bunch

Oil cooler won`t do shit for lowering coolant temps(very very little effect on overall engine temp either)....oil does not get anywhere near the combustion process.
Go the bigger alloy rad(usually much thicker cores compared to oe plastic) if you want to be sure, but there is also not alot wrong with the oem radiators... I would wait and see what its like, or if your raditor splits/needs replacing put a alloy one in(can be cheaper than oem)

Just make sure the system is clean, flush out all the scale.
Get your current radiator cleaned if you're scared
Check condition of water pump and also the operation of the viscous and thermo fans.
I'm sure it will be fine after the above

also try and get one which uses the standard plastic shroud for the fan (Trust and ARC both fit with the std shroud)

Hmm okay it see what the tuner says ie only recently done the 100,000 service and flushed the radiator while I done the timing belt and the water pump.
I did spell it "whether" but Unfortunatly iPhone's auto correct is a shit pingpingpingpings and changed it to weather

oil does go through the turbo though which is rather warm..
I changed to a cooling pro one from justjap on my old R32, build quality and cooling was fine
