Stolen: 2012 VE SS Thunder ute

Posting this up for a mate,

It was taken a few days ago now, but you never know.

It happened on friday night, my mate was asleep at the time in the house, They broke into the house at roughly 1am the neighbour heard a noise (About an hour after my mate went to sleep) Took his phone, and Keys to his house and ute.

Stolen from the Bedford / Mt Lawley area.

Its a 2012 model (Hes owned it for about 3 months)
VE Clubsport rims i believe they are
Lowered slightly.
About 10,000klms on it.
Plates are 1DWS 585

For future awareness for myself and others, how did they break in?
I am worried about how someone could break into my house while I'm asleep and steal my stuff as I just bought myself a 2012 Ve ssv sportswagon

I have not seen the damage to the door myself, but apparently they pried the front door open somehow.

From memory, it was a wooden door, no security screen etc.

Well.. Ute has been found dumped at a Servo in Perth somewhere with the keys left in it.

Have not seen it yet, but apparently it turned up on Monday, in a pretty bad shape

Front been pushed in causing both air bags to deploy
One of the rear quarters pushed in
Scratches down the left hand side pretty bad
Rims all scratched and apparently buckled
2-3000 extra klms in 2 days
Couple of used syringes inside.

Mate is pretty angry to say the least. I Hope its a right off for his sake, as the last thing he wants is a 'brand new' car back after a couple of homeless junkie fucks have thrashed the shit out of it.

I had a remote switch fitted which was wired through the key reader on my ve so everything operates as normal except ignition won't start even with the key. Might be something to pass on to your friend. It's bullshit these are the measures people have to take to protect there vehicle

I am about to buy a car and when I get it, it will be fitted with one of those do-hickey thing-a-ma-bobs with the gps and the remote disabling whats-its. Wish I could fit my shed with proximity mines and laptop guns eg Perfect Dark but hey, the world isn't perfect :D
