It's the last day for the 2nd early bird entry of $180, $240 on the day otherwise. That's what I did 2 years ago and blew my last engine lol, haven't entered but might just bite the bullet tonight and enter, will only keep it to cruising though. Engine was rebuilt properly so I'll just have to get my mechanic to check over it all beforehand

Had a read, and you can only change the car, but not the driver. Unless there's another car you can take ssick, all you can really do is change it to a spectator pass cos they probably won't give a refund less than 2 weeks to go until the event

Just for a heads up if your taking your own car trailer make sure you have a lock for it as 4 were stolen last year as there is no security guards for that area .Auto pro innaloo should have some if not he could get them i presume

Yeah Nutty will be there changing tyres. He does all the drift meets and has the good tyre changing equipment so you should be sweet.

Powercruise is usually "Licensed and street legal cars" with exceptions for special stuff (e.g my torana is licensed as a 6 but i contacted him early on and he was going to let it slide), The guy rocks up with no engineering certificate for the hand controls etc last year, made a scene obviously. Then Gup tried to go out on a limb and say come for a lap or 2 and show you can handle your car. Then he lost his shit... Facebook boycott pages were made ra ra... So this year (its engineered now) he entered and pretty much was told no because of all the trouble he started now. Then this stupid equality cruise has been organised etc.

I'm all for equality but this bloke went about it the total wrong way, could of all been avoided by simply going for a few laps or so.

Can they actually sticker your car if it is on a car trailer ? And if so what is the best way to get around this other than taking off your plates and hiding your VIN nuber with the car locked.

You could easily say that the car was modified for the event only, and you're taking all necessary precautions by trailering/trucking it there and that all mods will be removed afterwards. Who are they to say otherwise? You haven't illegally driven it on the road so I can't see how they'd be able to sticker it.

AFAIK if they wanted to be pingpingpingpings they are legally allowed to walk through the pits at Barbs and slap stickers on any car they like. Also within their rights to hoon law at Barbs & Motorplex (drag strip included) I'm pretty sure as all these areas are still bound by the states Road Traffic Act.

Had Ramp make a 4" dump for me, which replaced the 3" I had, cats been removed, and the 4" continued to the rear section, and also changed the wg spring from 7 to 10psi. Should free it up a fair bit.

Well... Thanks to Josh at Galvsport the seat rails have been welded in, brake discs fitted, new cage bar welded in for harnesses, gauges mounted in the dash, turbo gasket replaced, and the whole interior refitted.

Epic job considering it's been done in the last 5 days. Hopefully good to go by tomorrow morning :)

Commentators are gold at times. Poofter hooks have been called for a long time. Doubt that will ever change.

Also trying to get 700+ people organized would be near on impossible. Only major drama I encountered that annoyed me was the dickhead, Skyline driver in Saturdays cruise sessions that left his car in the line up twice!! First at the top of the gravel then straight away again once he did move forward. Stay with your car or leave a friend with it!

Personally I would prefer more cruise sessions. 1 in the morning 1 late afternoon. 3 hour minimum. And maybe a lunch time HP session over lunch on all 3 days.

My mates and I had a blast out on the track in the Evo and it was really good to see lots of Antilag guys out there aswell. Some really impressive imports out there aswell that were leaving everything for dead. Im looking forward to seeing photos and videos of the drag racing and power skid comps.. We left after the first cruise session this morning with the Evos clutch letting go so im keen to find out who won the competitions. Cant wait for next year

Your wagon is incredibly fast. Seems to hook up really well.

Mixed weekend for me... R33 was fun, but had a misfire that we couldn't sort out at the track (needs a re-tune) so I decided to park it for the weekend instead of risking it.

This morning I managed to score the R35 off the old boy and transferred my entry to that. Love that thing. Hoses most things and it's completely standard. Do it all day and it takes it like a man, not a single problem all day.

I was disappointed I got knocked out before the finals of the off-street drag racing. Only on the way home did I discover how shot the tyres are and that using launch control was a mistake. As soon as it launched it would wheelspin, then traction control would take over and ruin 2nd gear as well. If I hadn't used launch control, it probably would have been fine. Oh well, next time!

Had an absolute blast over the whole weekend. Surprised at how well the 90 holds it's own against some angry looking and sounding cars. Didn't get a chance to run any GTR's like i hoped either.
Bit dissapointed about my Powerskid attempt's so a high stall and shift kit are most definately on the cards.
Big ups to Damo and hanging out with him the whole weekend, car hauls ass.
Made it through one round of Off Street Drags but had no chance against "El Presidente" haha

Friday was probably the best day due to the smaller number of cars (Saturday and Sunday afternoon cruise sessions were a fkn joke) but it was sill a great weekend all in all.

Got knocked out in the second round of drags this afternoon, as it turns out my car is better at spinning the wheels from a standing start rather than getting off the line :P I hope the red caged Evo that knocked me out ended up doing well (I pretty much left straight away after that).

Also turns out that until the final cruise session I was running low boost all weekend - haha! Still had some great fun chopping 8's and popping flames.

Was a pretty good weekend. Didn't get the car finished till thursday night and got my first drive in it on friday morning at the first powercruise session.
Managed to get through to the 3rd last round of the off street drag racing after knocking out Gups VE clubby which was the highlight of my weekend.

Had a killer weekend also. Few dramas the night before with fuel pump cutting out and a misfire, due to leads being too close to dump. Made it there though, and made 530rwhp @10psi. Drove it there and back in one piece, no major breakages which was a win.

Cheers for the congrats. Happy with how the wagon went, not bad for a 20yr old ecotec powered v6 commodore wagon street car on skinny tyres I thought. More than happy to loose against Nissan's brand new AWD supercar on racing slicks that's been seriously modified and is a dedicated racing track car... Mind you I was lucky with the yellow thing and consistency is what got the wagon to 2nd.

To be honest the very last cruise session the blower bypass valve the diaphragm split and causing blower to get hot in off street racing. Defiantly could feel the car getting slower on the last few runs we had but no way i had a chance against AWD car with that power any way. Absolutely murdered a R32 GTR and Assasin (i backed off just past half way on that run to try keep blower temp down)

Plenty more left in the wagon, i haven't pushed the tune and its running fairly conservative boost as I knew it would get hammered ALL weekend and intake temps wouldn't be all that fantastic.It went HARD all weekend and was out every minute I could spare, was either driving that or my turbo GTO and had no dramas with either car.

Had just been out with a car full and was taking another load for a few laps.
Engine was not running.
Guy in front of me rolls forward to the bottom of the slope.
I pull the car from park to neutral to roll down behind him.
Go to hit the brakes to stop and pedal goes to firewall.
Pump the brakes like a madman.
Get to the stage where I have to choose to rear end him or stop the car with the wall.
Did not want to involve anyone else in my issue so wall it was.

Basically brake fluid had boiled.
After I started the car and reversed up had a pedal back.

Cheers for the congrats. Happy with how the wagon went, not bad for a 20yr old ecotec powered v6 commodore wagon street car on skinny tyres I thought. More than happy to loose against Nissan's brand new AWD supercar on racing slicks that's been seriously modified and is a dedicated racing track car... Mind you I was lucky with the yellow thing and consistency is what got the wagon to 2nd.

To be honest the very last cruise session the blower bypass valve the diaphragm split and causing blower to get hot in off street racing. Defiantly could feel the car getting slower on the last few runs we had but no way i had a chance against AWD car with that power any way. Absolutely murdered a R32 GTR and Assasin (i backed off just past half way on that run to try keep blower temp down)

Plenty more left in the wagon, i haven't pushed the tune and its running fairly conservative boost as I knew it would get hammered ALL weekend and intake temps wouldn't be all that fantastic.It went HARD all weekend and was out every minute I could spare, was either driving that or my turbo GTO and had no dramas with either car.

There was 4 or 5 cars there wearing home brew stickers just glad one got noticed rofl

The only reason you beat me is because of my bad driving and giving it to much gas off the line and spinning hard.

That was a good run that run, side by side pretty much all the way. I had a full car, you were on the inside and gassed on it way before i could being on the outside. I spun for ages and then had to catch you. Pretty sure there's video around of that run. Yeh don't know what happened with the brakes that run i can usually leave it a lot later than that to brake but some reason brakes were very weird i actually thought i had a flat front tyre. I went in after that and found one front tyre was clean and the other had about 20mm of old crummy rubber stuck on it. Still managed to pull it up with room to spare.

I was also running 2 cars all weekend. The other car has much much better brakes AP racing jumping from one car straight into the other made things rather interesting too.
