BYE sell unbranded E85 for $40 less then branded drums, people ask what it is but BYE can't tell anyone because it a secret.

kal spl gets upset every time someone makes a joke about it, even tho bye make jokes about it.

Sorry we used to sell it. No longer sell fuel anymore we just use it in all of our own car's from now on and don't sell to public. Was 4 or 5 500+rwhp cars at power cruise running it. I believe pics made private facebook groups too of the drums lol.

No idea about the specs... But the 35 isn't that fast in a straight line (it's stock!) so I doubt the ute is that modded.

Sorry for being a noob, but wtf is home brew? Do you mix your own race fuel or something?

Sorry didnt see this post, ill give you and anyone else who's reading this a basic run down since I no longer sell E85 fuel.

I own a small workshop where we work on our own cars and mates cars, BYE has a new 2wd600 mainline dyno, 2 full qualified mechanics (I am one of them). It was such a pain in the backside to get E85 fuel the other shops selling it here always told us did you book for a drum and sorry none in try again next week etc so we started buying fuel in sealed drums from wholesalers by the pallet. Someone mentioned BYE is selling it on facebook and turned into world war3 from certain antilag members questioning and then started with bullshit and abuse. I'm not into the bull shit so gave up and stayed out of it and just let them go, then it started here on the forum. Its all there in writting and bagging someone out without facts just looks silly on their behalf a lot of us were just sitting back laughing at these fools and eventually the same certain people came up with a theory we buy e100 and go to the servo and buy unleaded and mix our own brews in the backyard and thats why its cheaper.

Its not like you go to BP and ask which oil rig did that fuel come from and when BP dont tell you where they get it from you have a sad and start abusing them, whys it any different with E85.

Hence where the love home brew stickers got made and i thought be funny to run 4 or 5 500+rwhp cars around barbagello with the stickers. Even after I told them its in sealed and capped drums shipped in the crap still kept going. Pictures even made certain private facebook groups of our drums over the weekend... I couldnt disclose the details as part of the deal with the wholesaler. I thought i made is so obvious what was actually in the drums but no the same few people obviously didnt pick up on it and kept bagging us. Just glad our cars and stickers got noticed to take the piss.

And for those few certain people since we no longer offer it, it was sucrogen fuel and cheaper because you didnt have to buy a new drums with your purchase. Those people just too stubborn to drop into the workshop and have a yarn with us and actually find out more about it their loss and ruined it for everyone. Even when i also offered a free power run on someones car before and after a tank of fuel from BYE. Now i just laugh at the thought your paying extra while my wagon runs fault free on homebrew LOL

Kal_SPL cheers for the awesome photo!

this weekend was quite good except for the waiting time on saturday but it was expected seeing the amount of people that where there.

overall was great seeing so many good examples of quality work. definitely enjoyed gating past several bombed cars!

at the end, i smashed 2 rocker arms which happened on the sunday off street racing...will fix it and have it ready asap.

Its not like you go to BP and ask which oil rig did that fuel come from and when BP dont tell you where they get it from you have a sad and start abusing them, whys it any different with E85.
Because BP (a company) PRODUCES the fuel it sells at its bowsers, and as such is liable for the quality of that fuel.
You do not produce the fuel, and without providing the name of the supplier you effectively remove the possibility of recourse if said fuel is contaminated.

In other words, buying fuel at the bowser is no different from buying E85 and this is why people were asking where it was coming from.

As for it being Sucrogen fuel in unbranded drums, with some proof of purchase from Sucrogen, there wouldn't have been any issue at all.

Now, if anyone else mentioned fuel in this fucking thread I'll ban you for a week. Capiche?

Unfortunately the car wasn't finished till late thursday and the engine bay was very messy thanks to me having to use some degreaser that I found out was caustic. So all my ally stuff is in need of a good buffing to get rid of the acid stains. First skid was good but the others I got off the gas early as it didn't feel as straight and I bitched out.

I was talking to my mate who was crewing with him and he said he was using launch control with the handbrake as it kept creeping forward. Don't think he released it fully.

Andy has a list of places in his signature where you can have photos taken of your car on any day at any time.

Price varies between $75 and $1000 depending on how enthusiastic you are. For that you get a printed copy sent to you in the mail with a link to a high resolution digital image that you can view on the internet. If you are particularly enthusiastic you may be invited in to view the photo on a 50" plasma, but higher fees may apply.

No offence, but its powercruise.

Demographic - lovers of bogan cars, with a secondary fan base of turbo jap import thumpers.

A 32 year old Skyline isnt really going to turn heads.

Being the classic school Dude with a old 63 dodge I race at the drags the amount of imports with high Hp was treat to see and more is better as long we do not end up what happened at this because no matter how many commondore utes plain jane Falcons or Commondores no matter how much money have spent they just all looked the same and tended to get yawn worthy.

Loved the difference of the escort , rotarys even the merc viva the difference, 500 commodores/falcons that looked the same the event recked of money in to the organiser before quality and less runs for all.

No offence please if you have one of the above as I have a boring clubby and would not think it derserved to be there.

Any ol school imports bring them down to the nostaglia drags it would be a hoot to see them there.

If you think any of the official photographers have actually had time to get on the forums to seek out your request for pics of your car you are deluded.

So far, I have seen some personal peoples pics. Having a website only actually means you are denied official photohog status for the event.

If people went and took pics, and decided they didnt want to take a pic of your car, what do you want?

If it means that much to you I am sure you could hire a person who the day/event.

Did you go to powercruise?

I couldn't agree with you more but if that is the case charging $35 for entry for 1 day is fucking ridiculous.

As an entrant I'd be happy to pay more, have sectors free or at least only a $10 entry. Would weed out the hundreds of absolute shitters and make it more of a spectacle. The first year there was a decent crowd, but each year since its been getting more and more disappointing.

Before we all jump on the "what the fuck were you thinking you drive a shitter" band wagon, it's okay to like your car but understand that people with the cameras are going to shoot the more photogenic ones. This is the same principle behind hot sluts getting pics taken in nightclubs.

To be fair champ there was stuff in the spectator car park that would of got more attention than your car. My Accord was parked up up the back, it's bombed and has VTEC and 148kw !!! Why are the only photo's I get of my car arrive in the mail on a green piece of paper and cost me $100 bucks and a few points each time. He said the motor was capable if 1500 at the fly (1300 odd at the wheels) but was making 1100 at the wheels, it was an ams alpha 12 engine.

Care to list the modifications done to it? Knowing crackpot prices of R35 bolt on upgrade parts (i.e $5-$8k for an exhaust system), and then cost of the car, I'd still think my guess of $200k would be not too far off though..

Care to list the modifications done to it? Knowing crackpot prices of R35 bolt on upgrade parts (i.e $5-$8k for an exhaust system), and then cost of the car, I'd still think my guess of $200k would be not too far off though..

Im not denying the fact that the car has had work done, but it definatly isnt a 1000+hp monster, alot of the money spent was to comply with targa regulations. As for listing modifications/costs, Ill talk to the owner before dislosing details as its not my place to talk.

Hence why he was backing off at half track each pass i'd imagine. Went down atleast 3 times through the season, possibly more. Cool car!

Fair enough, but surely with all sound deadening removed, everything behind the dash removed (bar computer and lightweight screen), door trims removed, electric / heated seats replaced with lightweights.... that would weigh more than what the cage did??

I was making an assumption... but I guess I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same weight as factory with the complexity of that rollcage.

yeah we weighed both of them recently and they're still heavy bastards, there's a limit to how much weight we can take out of them and the 2012 35 is in the process of being lightened even more. i remember ripping the seats out of the 08 model and nearly breaking my back trying to lift the seats onto racking...

130mph and drag radials are within the rules of off st racing provided they finish with tread , any RWD car that wasnt running them obviously wasnt having a serious crack at being competitive.
It should go quicker than 10.5 in its current setup but unsure when hes going back.

I dont care if it does have 1000 hp to come 3rd in Adelaide was an awesome effort. However the scrutineers didnt think the car was quite to targa specs and he was removed from the results.

Also in the space of two weeks (Targa West and then Targa Adelaide) he destroyed 2 gearboxes and damaged a 3rd. I dont think stock ones do that.

Having said that.... Who cares? Thing is awesome and I have seen some footage from Targa Tas 2012 where it looks a whole lot faster than the Whites Lambo in a straight line.

Good on him. He has 3 of the things and it is great to see people pushing the envelope.
