Ifail restore issue..

So my ifail 4s has a speaker thats playing up, rang apple they sugested a restore, fair enough ill give it a go, so i did a back up, nothing errors, download the ios to the pc, start the restore and then things start going awry..

part way through the initial restore i acidentally kick the cable to the phone, disconnecting it, no worries, plug it all back in and restore again, problem is this..

its restored all my apps and contacts, it hasn't restore any of my old messages, the settings, and the photos, restoring an older backup put those items back on but sadly my last backup was some months ago..

the backup data is 11 gig so i know its there, but for some reason it's not putting everything back, and im kinda stumped as to what to do now, so anyone got a suggestion?..

Take it to apple store. More than likely they will give you a new one.

You can manually select which backup file you want cant you?

yah tried that, it restores the older one ok, just not todays backup, the size of the file to me indicates that the data is there, for some reason its just not putting it all back.. and its not like i can select seperate sections and restore thst data..
