make sure they are vinyl.....look better than concrete and will be easier to clean up any spills than unsealed concrete....

I had carpet in the shed, then a gear box tipped over, now i no longer have carpet in the shed

also if you drill or file metal it tends to get stuck in the carpet and you'll know about it later when your barefoot walking in the shed

you will need to glue them down otherwise if you come in too hot you're in the lounge

Not something I'd recommend, even vinyl tiles you will have issues if not done properly or they are unsealed (which many are).

Cool in theory, not in practice.

edit - the sort of flooring systems that are designed for workshop/garage/warehouse are very, very far from cheap.

i used them in my shed, for where i store tyres and such, so they dont get as affected by the temps/concrete.

Shit idea, my old work shop had carpet tiles for some bloody reason, makes sweeping/cleaning a pain in the ass, I have vynal in the shed at home, so much better!

We have random carpet offcuts on our garage floor (mainly under the cars to catch any fluids etc.) but not across the whole garage. Keeps you off the cold floor though!

Maybe the rubber flooring you see in gyms would be better though?

I'll be ordering these soon: http://www.garageworks.com.au/Dynotile.html

Worked out to be ~$1200 incl delivery for a 1.5x width garage, quite reasonable IMO

Ive got marine carpet in my shed

got it for free when a Post Office was being renovated

Its the best thing in winter

I have off cuts under anything that may leak

Just vacuum it occasionally and its shit hot
