Hi Guys,

I am looking to get a small air compressor for removing tile in the laundry/bathroom however after that wont be really used all that often. I was thinking i might be able to use it as a high pressure cleaner instead of buying a karcher. Are the ones from supr cheap any good and will it be suitable for what i need it for??

thanks Damien

Removing tiles with a compressor? Bwahahaha. Go to a hire joint and get a big kango with a large spade bit and give it heaps. Will end up way cheaper and faster.

They make a small air hammer w/spade type attachment -makes quick work of it

A small air compressor will not 'drive' a pneumatic air chisel for long. As suggested hire the right tool for the job or buy a cheap hammer drill like this one: http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_850w-sds-ozito-rhr850-rotary-hammer-drill-kit_870.aspx

cheers for the replies :)

I had kind of figured as much, when you say wont last long any rough indication? the laundry is about 2.5x3m with the tiles up but the underlying cement still in place.

was kind of hoping to have aquire one for the odd job once the renos are finished..Worst case senario the ozito will do i have one of there sanders just wont die !!!

Probably 20 seconds of use, then wait 2 minutes for the air compressor to catch up....
