Tattoo Artist

Hey,

I'm looking for recommendation of tattoo artist here in perth, the guy who did my last one no longer lives in perth. Ideally i like to find someone who can draw up my idea first, so i can see if its what i want. I had my last one down at Unique and i know i can go there and get them to draw it up but i prefer to pay someone to draw my design first, and bounce ideas off (i have a style in mind)

Mate of mine uses Ben (I think) at Holdfast Tattoo, multiple tattoo pieces and pretty big designs - exceptional work. I'll probably go there for my next one.

There's going to be heaps of different suggestions, but I'll throw mine in here, Ryan at Foothills Tattoo in Byford, awesome artist, does some great stuff with colours, was in the West Australian a few weeks back. He's done a few of mine, he'll be doing the rest as well.

I had some text done on my chest a while back (by Ryan), and I ended up there after closing time, at which point all the artists started doing work on each other. Cant get a much better vouch for their skills I suppose.

But ill be seeing Jackson at Sinister Ink in Rockingham ( no he is not from Rocko just works there haha) as he's a friend of a friend and he's already designed me a tatt and just need to save now haha. Miles drew this for me first and designed it all. This is after the last session, probably 1 more to go... probably not to everyone's tastes but everyone is different.

price isn't an issue pretty sure i pay something like $300-$400 for my 1st tattoo at unique which was something like 2/2 and half hours

Five Star in freo.. Laith is the best hands down. 2 Full legs over the knee and have never had an issue or not liked his style.

He can do anything.. from portraits to cartoon and everything in between.

Holdfast Either Mt Lawley or Vic Park I have had tatts done at both places.Check their website for their artists and the Quality of their work.
Nathan did my car tatt and Stooks did my memorial tatt. Both excellent work but Stooks is overseas now I think

I've had all my work done at Holdfast great atmosphere clean and super helpful. Mostly by SuziQ But had stuff done by Phil and Carly when she was there. All in full colour. My oldest one is about 6 year old and still has awesome colour and lines.

Nathan @ holdfast. Did my mates 2 full Star Wars sleeves (portrait style). Photos of his arms have been blogged on site like shock mansion etc and even features on the official Star Wars fan page.

Marc Pinto @ Primitive? He does the traditional Japanese hand tattoo method with bamboo sticks. Haven't used him personally, but very highly regarded.

Guy at work has got some awesome full body tatts he has recommended Nathan at Five Star to me for jap style. He has some awesome turtles done on his back by him.

i have my sleeve done by tomo and my front (torso+quads) outlined with the design below. you will need to fly to japan alot to do this stuff, not really a downside though. oh and you have to do 7hr sessions 2 and sometimes 3 days in a row. and have alot of cash to waste.
